The BTEC Award in Music is perfect for students who are passionate about creating and performing music. Throughout the course, you'll develop key skills in music production, composition, and performance, as well as gain practical knowledge of the music industry. You'll learn to work with different musical styles, enhance your technical abilities, and experiment with technology and instruments. The course emphasises creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, preparing you for future careers in music and related fields.
This course is ideal for you if you enjoy making music (either performing/producing and/or composing). It also offers a practical introduction to life and work in the music industry. There is an expectation that you perform or produce music, and that you compose/create music throughout the course.
