Homework is work that is set to be completed outside of the timetabled curriculum. It contains an element of independent study, in that it is not usually directly supervised by a teacher. It is important in raising student achievement.
At Guiseley School all students in Years 7-11 follow a homework schedule. This shows the day each subject sets homework.
In Years 10 and 11, the homework schedule refers to options subjects. These can be identified on a student’s timetable by looking at the letter before the slash in the subject code. For example, 11B/Hi1 would indicate option block B in Year 11.
