Guiseley School is delighted to host its Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 16 November 2023. This event will run from 6-8pm. We are excited for you to learn about life at our Sixth Form, the opportunities we can offer, and our new curriculum offer. You will also visit our brand-new state-of-the-art teaching blocks and specialist facilities.
There will be presentations in our Auditorium starting at 6.00pm from our Headteacher, Director and Deputy Director of Sixth Form. You will then have opportunity to talk to Curriculum Leaders about what their subject offers in the Sixth Form. The presentations will be repeated at 7.40pm.
Guiseley School Sixth Form has a strong reputation for success. This is reflected in our examination results which are consistently above national averages, and our 2023 A Level results were no exception. Our students’ achievements see them move on to a variety of destinations such as higher apprenticeships, college and university courses including Oxford and Russell Group Universities.
We politely ask that you register to attend via Pretix so that we may monitor how many visitors we can expect. Your QR code tickets will be scanned when you arrive. When booking your place, please ensure that you include the total number of adults and children who will be attending. Please check that your child has not already booked their own ticket via the invitation given to them in school. If you are unable to attend, an online component to the Open Evening will be made available on our website https://www.guiseleyschool.org.uk/.
Please be aware that car parking at our school site is limited. Due to this, and to mitigate the potential problems it may cause local residents, we kindly ask that you walk to us if possible and arrive at our pedestrian gate on Fieldhead Road. Car parking will be available in our two car parks which can be found on Back Lane and Fieldhead Road. Names and email addresses are required for each person attending the event. This data will be held by us for 14 days after the event before being deleted, in accordance with our Data Protection policy. We will be sending out a short survey following the event to gain feedback about how you found our Open Evening and to improve our events and marketing going forward. The survey will be entirely voluntary.
