Sixth Formers practice Law
24 April 2018
Seven Year 12 students are currently taking part in the Law Ambassadors scheme, set up by BPP University. The scheme is in partnership with national corporate law firm Eversheds, and aims to give students an insight into the Legal profession, pairing them with mentors at Eversheds to help them with their UCAS applications and to give them advice on routes into Law. BPP University are the main provider of training to the legal profession. After a launch meeting last term at Eversheds offices in Leeds, the students visited the BPP University campus to stage a mock trail, working with students from Lawnswood school. The Guiseley students had to prepare a case taking on the roles of barrister and council for the defence. A great day was had by all, and we are looking forward to the next session on 'street law' early next year.
