PASTORAL SUPPORT WORKER
From September 2020 we are looking for a Pastoral Support Worker to join our existing Pastoral team.
The main purpose of the role is to support the wider Pastoral Team in securing excellent behaviour, attendance, and attitudes to learning across allocated year groups. This is a child-facing role, focusing on supporting students, administering key school systems around behaviour and wellbeing, and liaising with parents and carers.
We are looking for candidates who are skilled communicators and experienced in building effective relationships with young people, both supporting them and challenging them to achieve their very best. Knowledge and experience of behaviour management strategies are essential, as is a full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation. An understanding of principles of child development and learning processes and, in particular, barriers to learning are essential, as is experience of working with children of relevant age, including those students with special and additional needs
You will be joining, and add value to, a high-performing pastoral team that is dedicated to providing the highest levels of customer service to children, their families, and all other stakeholders, and is willing to leave no stone unturned in securing excellent outcomes for every child.
